Chai Log

Chai got his very first bath today - in the kitchen sink. We have a photo shoot with Randi Hirschman tomorrow so he needs to be all fluffy and cute. Sister Rita wasn't too happy - she thinks I shoulda scrubbed harder because he is still the wrong color. He is starting to understand the routine and isn't eating as much. I guess he knows he will get another meal soon.

Chai arrived in Alaska from Dallas on April 23, 2005. Our family was amidst a huge relocation back home after 5.5 months in a rental home because our house burned. Chai spent a few nights in the rental house before we were able to move our beds back home. He now owns our house and household.

Our plans for this red boy are minimal. Afterall, his 1/2 sister Rita is the "do-it-all" dog. I have a suspicion Chai will be giving Rita a little friendly competition.

Because of our turmoil, this is the first entry in his training log. He has already made his debut at a NADAC agility trial, at the local feed store, and in the neighborhood.
